Dale Jr Predicts Top Three Finish in 2006 Cup Series

"I think we're going to come into the Chase being top three in the points" ~ Dale Jr.

According to Dale Jr. we can expect to see the Budweiser #8 in victory lane many times this upcoming Nextel Cup Season.

Here is what I wonder? If Dale Jr and the #8 suck as much as they did in 2005, will fans still love Jr and will he still be so highly revered? How long will Budweiser put up with a non winner?  I wonder how long a slump has to go on before you are really just a star in "name only" and not really a star on the track.

This is what one may call the Waltrip effect.
