Tires with Radios

Tires Coming to the 2006 NASCAR Nextel Cup, Busch and Craftsman Truck series - RFID Tires.

What? RFID HUH?

This season all of the tires will be implanted with little Radio Frequency Identification unit to assist in the tracking tire inventory. These RFID units replace the current method of a bar code sticker affixed to the side of the tire.
