Drivers outside of the top 35 in the point standings don't get a lot of media attention, and usually the only time they get interviewed on television is when they crash out of the race early. The microphone is stuck in their face as they are coming out of the infield care centre. Here are some of the things they always say, but shouldn't be allowed to:
The (insert sponsor name here) car was handling really good today but...
We had a great car today, but...
They guys in the shop did a great job, but...
We were just hanging back taking care of our stuff til we were ready to make a charge to the front, when...
We had a top 5 car today, but...
It's unfortunate, but we really didn't get a chance to prove ourselves today.
Our car unloaded really fast, but...
We struggled a bit in practice, but (insert crew chief name) did a really good job getting this car up to speed, but...
These are hiarious. I think that the driver that does this best is(was) Rusty!
