There is no truth to the rumour that Roush Racing is in financial difficulties, said owner Jack Roush 
after the race in California on Sunday.
"I was a little worried after the poor finishes in Daytona," said Roush, " but the Ameriquest Mortgage Company let me float a little longer. We had traditionally done well in California, and I had promised my bankers some money after the race. When Greg (Biffle) went out early, my heart sure started beating a little faster!"
Roush said that with Kenseths win, and great finshes for McMurray and Martin, the $700,000+ in winnings would keep Ameriquest off his back for a little while, and even allow him to field all of his cars in Las Vegas.
